Alesta Kebab

Located on the main Catalkoy road heading into Kyrenia harbor this is one of the best kebab houses on the island and is a “must visit” whilst in North Cyprus.

This bright and fresh restaurant offers a lovely indoor restaurant plus a patio and a small hidden garden where you can dine. The atmosphere here is friendly and tranquil and the staff are very helpful, polite and courteous.

Alesta offers all types of kebabs, beautiful pasta dishes, tantalizing chicken dishes and tender steaks. There is a limited dessert menu and all desserts are naughty but nice!

Prices are excellent at Alesta, same with food quality and portions. One of the most popular dished served is “Iskender” which is doner meat covered in a tomato sauce served on top of pide bread with natural yoghurt and served with homemade chips and costs 15YTL (roughly £6.00).

I personally recommend the Iskender washed down with a refreshing ice tea. Also recommended for a light bite are the Lamacun. Alesta offer an eat in, takeaway and delivery service.
