Grove Inn

Grove Inn | Kyrenia

Grove Inn | Kyrenia

On first impressions the Grove Inn looks a little tired and could do with a refurbishment. Situated on the main road towards Catalkoy, this restaurant serves traditional Indian food and a traditional Sunday roast lunch.

However, the warm welcoming from the owner and his staff made it very promising. This no frills curry house is good. I had the chicken tikka masala and it was as good as any up market Indian restaurant. The portions are very generous and the price includes pilau rice and poppadoms for around 20 TL (approx. £8). Wednesday nights are Curry Specials – price for 18 TL (approx. £7) and live entertainment is provided.

Food can be served inside a large airy dining room or outside in summer months in a courtyard style garden overlooking a swimming pool.

The Grove Inn is also very popular with local ex-pats for Sunday roast dinner for 2 courses either starter or dessert with a main of roast chicken, lamb or beef, with all the traditional trimmings or you can choose a curry instead for 15 TL (approx. £6).
